How it Works
It all begins with your child.
Any child under the age of five that lives in Hillsborough County, New Hampshire is eligible
Register online and Diane’s Library, in partnership with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, will provide your family with free books
New, high quality, age-appropriate books are addressed to your child and mailed to your home
Your child will receive one new book every month until their 5th birthday
If you have multiple children under the age of five you can register them separately so each receives their own books
Any parent, grandparent, or caretaker can register an eligible child

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know if my child was accepted into the program? If you provided an email address with your registration you will be notified via email when the registration is approved and entered into our system.
How long does it take to start getting books? It can take 45 - 60 days from the date of registration to start receiving books.
Are the books appropriate for my child? Yes, all program books are selected by early childhood experts and considered high-quality and age appropriate. Every child receives the same “welcome book” regardless of age and the following month the age-appropriate titles will start to arrive.
Do I need an online parent account? Parent accounts allow caregivers to check the status of their child’s registration, edit their child’s address and see the book titles that are mailed each month. If you provide an email address upon registration this will serve as your username. You can create and reset passwords on the login page here.
How do I change my address? If you need to update a child’s record from the system, please use the online parent account.
What happens when my child turns 5 years old? When your child celebrates their fifth birthday they will graduate from the program. The last book they will receive is Look Out Kindergarten, Here I Come!
